Training the leaders... of tomorrow.

REQUIREMENTS

The MPP program strikes a balance between quantitative and qualitative approaches to the analysis of policy problems and provides an understanding of the practice of policy, including the policy process, policy formulation, policy implementation, government funding mechanisms, and partnerships. We train students to identify, analyze, and address pressing public problems, both in this country and around the world.

Students usually take 4 courses in each of their 4 semesters, plus an internship in the summer between their first and second years, for a total of 17 courses. The program consists of 9 core courses, 5 electives, the internship, and a master’s thesis or its equivalent.
