The Johns Hopkins Institute for Policy Studies (IPS) takes pride in blending concrete service to its local community with active engagement in national and international policy issues. IPS organizes briefings, seminars, and conferences in an effort to disseminate the best information and analysis on public problems to a broad audience, and to raise the level of debate. This involvement gives its national and international work a practical grounding while serving the local community.

Baltimore Mayor Martin O'Malley speaks to community leaders at a roundtable forum on Baltimore's Fiscal Future, co-hosted by IPS and the Baltimore Efficiency and Economy Foundation.
